Empowering individuals at every stage of life to achieve their potential through accessible education, career support, wellness resources, and leadership opportunities.
Melba Community Service was founded in 2022 by a group of Highline Students, and community leaders who recognized the urgent need for wraparound support systems for youth in Seattle’s underserved neighborhoods.
What began as a grassroots tutoring circle in a school, local community centers quickly evolved into a comprehensive youth development nonprofit. From 3 students in the Highline College, Melba Community Service now reaches over 100 youth each year, offering services in academics, college and career planning, emotional wellness, sports, and arts.
Melba helps people see their potential and equips them with the tools to realize it - because everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.
To empower individuals through comprehensive support in education, career development, wellness, and community engagement - helping people at all life stages achieve their full potential.
We envision a community where every individual—regardless of their background—has equitable access to the resources, support, and opportunities needed to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.
Goal: Raise graduation rates, increase college/trade enrollment, and foster 1,000+ future community leaders by 2028.
At Melba Community Service, we champion equity by providing customized support to marginalized communities - including immigrants, refugees, and low-income individuals - at every phase of life.
